We love getting together regularly as a team outside of the office for fun. We usually do a few office BBQs at Bill Bly’s house, which includes food, drinks and corn hole games for everyone. We spend a lot of time sitting around the fire pit, sipping on drinks and munching food, while we catch up on life. We usually do 3 BBQ events a year.

We also do a Christmas party every year someplace fun. It’s different every year. Christmas 2021 was spent at Bandaloop, while in other years we’ve gone into the Old Port to celebrate. Some years we have staff bring a +1, while other years it’s just for staff.

MEET OUR TEAM

We’re big on culture and team building at this office.

We love to celebrate everyone’s birthday. Usually, Mia will come in early to decorate the person’s desk and office with tons of birthday decorations. We celebrate the birthday together with cupcakes and candles as a team. It’s something everyone looks forward to in our company. Since we’re located just up the street from the best bakery in New England, Boulangerie, we treat staff to pastries, bread and croissants on a regular basis. It’s always a surprise when Bill or Laura walk in with a couple of boxes of treats from Boulangerie for the team.

On other days, we keep the kitchen pantry stocked with coffee, bags of chips, candy, tea, and anything else you might need to keep our employees happy and their brains fueled. Typical snacks include Hershey Kisses, Twizzlers, Assorted single bags of chips such as Smart Food, Doritos, Lays Potato chips, etc. We have a wide variety of K-cup coffees and each staff member has their own personal favorite. We provide a large selection of green, black and herbal teas for our staff to choose from, as well as hot chocolate, and a large water cooler of Poland Spring water. We also have a small kitchen area with a dishwasher to ensure that everything remains clean and tidy. We make sure everything our staff could possible need is provided.

We celebrate birthdays in style with decoration and snacks.

We work hard, but we also have a lot of fun together.

ARE YOU A GOOD FIT FOR US?

Our culture is really important to us. We’re a client focused, boutique law firm that provides a high level of client service and experience. And as focused as we are on our clients, we’re equally if not more focused on our staff. We pay a highly competitive wage, we provide a suite of full benefits for our employees, which includes paid time off (vacation, sick time, etc.), paid bereavement time, maternal and paternal paid time off, automatic 401k contributions for the employee and the option for the employee to contribute to their own retirement through our 401k program, 100% employee health insurance and vision care paid for by the Firm, we offer 50% payment for dental coverage, long-term and short-term disability, and life insurance coverage. We’re confident in saying that we offer the best pay scale and benefits package out of any small law firm in southern Maine.

We put our money where our mouth is and we choose to invest in our employees' futures so that we can all grow and succeed together.

We believe it’s really important that the environment you work in is an environment that you’re proud of and a place that makes you feel really good inside. So, to give our employees that experience, we ensure that the environment is not only functional, but beautiful as well. We have a seating area for our admin team to get together and meet for “morning campfires”, which is where Laura (our Chief of Staff) meets with the team to go over the coming day’s agenda, as well to relax and connect with each other. We decorate the exterior of the building for Christmas and Chanukah in order for everyone to feel the spirit of the holidays.

Every morning, Mia posts a “Morning Corny”, which, by the way, Bill has NEVER EVER figured out! He’s REALLY terrible with puns and puzzles. Also, we keep a running Jenga game going. But whoever loses (i.e., causes it to fall), is responsible for setting up a new one. You also might get razzed quite a bit for losing, so be prepared…

Here’s a few photos of our staff in the office. Below is the owner, Bill Bly. Actually, that’s Michael Scott and he doesn’t really work here. But we think it would be hilarious if he did.

By the way, if the picture of Pam behind the desk at Dunder Mifflin makes you laugh, you might be a good fit for us. In short, if this sounds like you and this place sounds like a fun place to work at, we want you to apply and come join the best legal team in southern Maine!

COME WORK WITH US

The owner, Bill Bly. Well, not really.

One of our staff members, Pam Beesly.

Do you like dogs? Good! We have a head of security and his name is Chewbacca. He comes in occasionally to check the office for bad guys and make sure things are running smoothly. He’s also the part-time Director of Fun Stuff. We’re not sure what that means, but Chewie seems to have a plan…

We want to work with people who have a can-do attitude, and who bring a cheerful, friendly and fun disposition to the office today. We want to work with people who see the glass as half full and see every conversation with a potential client or current client as an opportunity to make a positive difference in someone’s life.

Our "Morning Corny" spot with daily puzzles and a running Jenga game.

Here’s a picture of Bill doing his favorite thing… Skiing in a snowstorm.

Here's Chewie, our Head of Security busy doing his work. Sort of.
